Hello everyone. Every year from October will begin to deliver the Nobel prizes. But before giving the nobel, magazine Annals of Improbable Research at Harvard gives Ig Nobel awards. These awards are to be "antinobel" or prizes for the most stupid and absurd inquiries have been made in the last year.
If the headlines recently posted on my Facebook ("Deep cell batteries can cause damage to the esophagus" and " The UN appointed an ambassador for possible contacts with aliens") grace I did not miss the selection that I make here some of the Ig Nobel this year.
- Ig Nobel in Chemistry for BP to discredit the old belief that water and oil do not mix (and boy does it demonstrated).
- Ig Nobel Simon Rietveld, University of Amsterdam and Ilja van Beest Tilburg University for discovering that asthma symptoms can be treated with a rollercoaster ride.
- Ig Nobel Peace Prize to John Atkins, and Andrew Kingston, University of Keele to show that insult and curse relieves the pain when you take a hit (jeje. .. this is very good. So you know, curse and shit at all if you golpeáis)
And that to me is without doubt the best of all (and go to send eggs to spend money on this research) is the Ig Nobel in Physics, which this year are for Lianne Parkin, Sheila Williams, and Patricia Priest, University of Otago to show that people slipped and fell on the ice less if they use the socks off your shoes.
And this, it sounds completely ridiculous and false, are real research conducted by "scientists" real.
Back once again, reality is always stranger than fiction.
